“I’m very excited to be receiving the vice chair position,” Dell said. “It’s one of the premiere journals in my area, so it’s a real honor to have been asked to participate.”
The award-winning journal is published quarterly by the American String Teachers Association with SAGE publishing. The journal is a resource for stringed-music performance teachers and covers industry news, teaching tips and more, according to their page on SAGE publishing’s website.
Dell said the journal is a mixture of informing readers how to play stringed instruments, as well as how to teach them for public and private education.
Dell has been a member on the journal’s editorial board for two years. She said her new position will be a challenge, but she is looking forward to having a broader sense of academic musical articles and authors to share with her students.
